Logan took over our Taco Tuesday and replaced it with Sophie’s Gourmet Hawaiian Pizzeria Tuesdays. (That doesn’t even make sense lol.) Sophie’s has been open for over a year and embarrassingly enough, we just made our way over there a few months ago. Worst part is that the owner even asked us 1. is this your first time? 2. do you guys live close by? The answer was yes to both questions. So, the place is pretty cool. You can decide what type of dough, toppings and sauces you want on your pizza or calzone or you can order a Sophie’s signature pizza. We opted for the Lava Tube (pictured above) and a basic cheese for Logan. No regrets for either one. Cam wasn’t too happy with the large amounts of marscapone cheese but I was the exact opposite, I loved it. It made the pizza creamier and gave it a coolness that helped ease the spiciness from the sausage. The service was great, the ingredients were fresh and the dough was delicious. We all kept eating despite the fact that it was burning our lips as we ate. I’m glad that we came here instead of going our usual Pizza Hut. It’s always good to support local businesses – especially with nice owners like this one! Hope you get the chance to try this place, you won’t regret it!
