Apparently Poke is the new trend with restaurants popping up all over. My co-workers decided to take me to this new spot called Ono Poke while we were in LA because they thought I’d like it. It was a pretty unique spot but it wasn’t nothing like home. The ahi was pulverized to the point of being more paste than fish. They had so many toppings to add – from tortilla chips to fried onions and so much more. They sold other fish (salmon, scallops) but all looked previously frozen as well. Over all, it wasn’t my favorite but it’s a nice version if you don’t have anything else close by.
